------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
The time does not go: (English)
The time is not she stands still, We pull out by it ; It is a caravanserai , We are pilgrims in it. A something positive and farbenlos , The only figure gains , Where are you in it shows up and down , Until her again melts away . It flashes a drop of morning dew In the beam of sunlight ; A day can be a pearl And a century nothing . It is a white parchment The time and everyone writes With his red blood on it , Until he distributes electricity . To you , you wonderful world You beauty without end , I also read my love letter On this parchment . Glad I am that I blossomed In your round wreath ; In gratitude, I turbid not the source And praise your glory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
